Colloquium on Civic Engagement and
Graduate Education at Research I Universities
in Southern California
Thursday, November 10, 2005
We write to invite you to participate in a free one-day Colloquium on Civic Engagement and Graduate Education at Research I Universities in Southern California. This colloquium is intended to bring together graduate level faculty, staff, and students who are engaged in activities such as service-learning, community based participatory research, and community-university partnerships. The goal of the colloquium is to build a sense of community among those of us who are working in this field, across many disciplines. With a stronger sense of community, we will be better able to share ideas, challenges, and solutions to common problems. The colloquium will offer opportunities for:
- Networking and sharing information about what we’re each doing

- Learning about resources, including upcoming conferences
